Class of 2024 celebrated at John Grant
The 2024 John Grant High School graduating class were celebrated on the evening of June 6 at the school’s Syd Wise Auditorium by family, friends, teachers, and invited guests.
Principal Gregory Watson addressed the 12 graduates, sharing how they have grown not just academically, but also as people over their time at John Grant.
The graduates also heard from Concordia Stingers wide-receiver Jaylan Murphy-Greaves. The star athlete shared his personal struggles as he overcame Guillain-Barre syndrome to continue his football career, including 58 days spent paralyzed from the neck down in a hospital bed. He encouraged the graduates to continually persevere and battle through any obstacles that come their way.
Co-valedictorians Marry-Ann Pompey and Alexander Zetka-Pettigrew thanked their teachers and school staff for their support and shared what they will miss most about each of their fellow graduates.
Following the ceremony, graduates and their families enjoyed cake in celebration of their achievements.
Congratulations to all of the John Grant High School graduates: Anastasia Demacheva,
