IMPORTANT NOTICE | UPDATE ON TRANSCO BUS SERVICE - UPDATED CANCELLED BUS NUMBERS — SEPTEMBER 15, 2025
Dear Parents and Guardians,
We have just been informed by Transco and the Ministry of Education that for Monday, September 15, all electric buses will still be out of service. This is in order to continue a full inspection of their fleet.
As a result, no transportation will be available tomorrow for students who normally use these electric buses (see list of buses below). We kindly ask that parents make the necessary arrangement to transport their children to and from school for this day only.
Please note:
All diesel (non-electric) buses will continue to operate as usual and will transport EMSB students without interruption.
There will likely be increased traffic around the school during drop-off and pick-up times. For safety reasons, we ask for your patience and cooperation in ensuring a smooth and secure process.
We apologize for this inconvenience and thank you in advance for your understanding and support.

Only students who are eligible for transportation may ride the school bus. For information on eligibility for school bus transportation please visit the EMSB website.
School bus safety for parents and students
All students are expected to behave in a safe and appropriate manner at the bus stop and while on the bus. They are to remain seated at all times and talk quietly.
Students are not permitted to change school buses, nor are parents allowed to take the bus with their child.
If problems arise during the year, parents must inform the office. They are NOT to deal with the bus driver or other students directly.
What if I want to pick up my child after school?
If parents wish to make alternative arrangements for their child to go home, they are asked to write a letter to that effect to be presented to the principal for approval and signature at the start of the day.

The EMSB Transportation Division, a part of the School Organization Department, is responsible for issuing bus passes to students who meet the walking criteria based on their address as of June 30 of each school year. Eligibility criteria can be found on the EMSB Website.
