Strike Update

November 21, 22 and 23, 2023

The four unions representing English Montreal School Board employees, (MTA teachers, APPA support staff, educators and daycare employees, QFL caretakers and cafeteria workers, and SPPMEM professionals) have given the school board official notice that they will be on strike for three full days on November 21, 22 and 23. 

As a result of this labour action between the unions and the Québec government, all elementary and high schools as well as adult and vocational classes will be cancelled on those three days. In addition, please note that daycare services will not be provided on the strike days. All activities scheduled in the schools and centers on November 21, 22 and 23 are also cancelled. 

Important note exceptionally for FACE School:

The Fédération autonome de l’enseignement du Québec (FAE) union has advised us of a general unlimited strike as of November 23rd. Consequently, all classes at FACE school will be cancelled indefinitely as of November 23.
