Welcome Back to a New Year at Dalkeith
Dear Parents and Guardians,
The staff of Dalkeith School looks forward to welcoming you into the ‘’Dalkeith Family”. Pre-Kindergarten & Kindergarten parents will be advised by their child’s teacher between August 24th & 26th concerning the time and day of your 90-minute introductory meeting (which will take place between Aug. 30th and Sept. 1st).
Regular classes for Pre-K, Kindergarten and closed classes begin after those progressive entry appointments.
Students in grades 1 to 6 begin school on August 30th at 9:00 a.m. The school cafeteria will also be open on August 30th, 2022. |
You will be receiving information about the school bus schedule and location of your child’s bus stop from the School Board at the end of August if your child is eligible for transportation.
The school dress colour code is navy blue or black bottoms and white tops. No particular company has been designated for purchasing this clothing, however, Wal-Mart has been recommended as having some of the best deals on white T-Shirts. Throughout the year there will be free dress days designated, and you will be notified.
Fees:
The lunch supervision fees are: 1 child, 250$; 2 children or more is 375$. (A subsequent letter explaining the school and lunch fees structure can be found online and invoices for LUNCH supervision fees will be sent home at the beginning of the school year by the Daycare Technician.)
If your child is in Daycare, s/he does NOT pay for lunch fees.) Please do NOT send lunch supervision payment until you are billed by the Daycare. If your child is in a closed classroom, you will be informed of the fees in September
(The lunch period is from 12:30 to 1:25 p.m.)
Pre-Kindergarten & Kindergarten teachers will be ready to accept payment of school fees on the first day. All Students registered in Daycare do NOT pay lunch supervision fees. |
